Sea-Urchin,

"patented technology" - there seems to be some disagreement on here re what part of the technology is actually patented. Can you shed any light on that?

CDEX has a patent on their cuvettes, that's it unless one considers their very first patent which primarily covered the X-ray flourescent tech which IMO was a CYA patent. I don't believe it will ever have a useful application.

The patent which covers their Valimed product has expired.

A patent for the G4 has been applied for, but I don't believe it will be granted if it can't be reduced to practice.

The G4 which they claimed to have shipped is a Raman Spectrometer. I don't believe it has any other sensing technology built into it. Then again, they never claimed that that particular unit did from what I've read.

Do I think they'll ever build a RS instrument with the fluorescent spectrometer (EPE) integrated into the package?

No way.

Do I believe they've written the patent application to make people believe that their new G4 will actually have the three sensing technologies integrated into one system?

Yes I do.

But that's just my opinion, the only thing they have to do is build one that works and prove me wrong.
