Yes, that's true. That's why I asked if the jury has been discharged. This is actually an easy question to answer --- I just don't know if they have or not. Haven't been able to follow as closely as I'd like re this. I'm assuming that they've gone bye-bye and that any chance for polling them on such question is gone. If they're NOT discharged---and as I said earlier, I hope they're not---the jury itself could make a correction.

The court could not tell them to do it, but the court could have them re-examine their math and have them make sure they gave the answer they intended.
