I agree. Obviously google thinks the methodology involved in their search is the most profitable model there is right now (as evidenced by the 20%+ increase in revenues since they began using it). They could change it and use a process that returns less revenue, which makes no sense. They could also change it enough that it infringes on a different set of patents, also makes no sense. Better to suck it up and pay a small percentage of a small percentage of revenue.
