Vringo won every claim, unanimously. The immediate reaction to this may be that Vringo did not come out too well, but to me, the real story is that the 3.5% running royalty is the Major issue, whereas the past damages amount really is the red haired stepchild issue. Honestly, if the running royalty is worth $500M approximately, then the difference is between $530M total, and $600M total. And the key is that the win: (1) validates Vringo's ability to punch the bully in the mouth and walk away; and (2) handle future lawsuits. Congratulations, Vringo longs. You hung in there and won pretty big.
Seems to be exactly what the reaction is judging by this PPS.
