and the "radical terrorists" are a military force? our military is designed to fight another military force. but it ends up just being a police occupation force because there is no conventional army to fight.

let's see... how many of our recent wars became occupation wars of attrition until we just left after spending more of our blood and treasure for essentially nothing? Vietnam anyone? 60,000 of our lives and after we left, it took a matter of hours before the communists took over anyway, and there was no "domino" effect which was the original "reason" for it.... our imperial wars are almost silly if you have the ability to step back and look at it objectively.

How many countries do we have to destroy that are not posing any kind of direct threat to us, before we kind of get a reputation as a bully?

A more appropriate response is to take out the "radical terrorists" in surgical strikes... such as what obama is doing with the drones. And even that is reaching the point of diminishing returns.
