I hate to clue you in but those soldiers died in service to their country but did not die protecting anyone's rights. The soldiers in WW2 who fought did fight the good fight for our rights but just because we send soldiers to fight does not mean they are protecting our rights. Vietnam was never about protecting the US nor was Korea or Lebanon or Iraq. The shame is like you have shown most kids who fight for their country and join do it for various reasons but for whatever their reason they should have been shielded from politicians who sent them into harms way for frivolous reasons just because they wanted a war. I can say Vietnam and Iraq were certainly two wars we should never have fought.
