Richard, and there are indeed few soldiers that have lengthy (if not life) prison sentences when they violated this oath. Even civilians are brought to justice when they take the law in their hand and try to avenge their loved one by trying to murder PA Arabs. I just posted an example of such an arrest here about half an hour ago.
