USB and Firewire

Blue, USB 1.1 draws less juice than USB 2.0.

Apple is abandoning Firewire on iPods inorder to deliver a product that supports generic PC hardware. Since mainstream PeeCee manufacturers like Dell will not make Firewire a standard port they are settling for USB 2.0. Firewire has been an optional add-on for Dell systems for awhile now.The future of Firewire will probably end up on high end systems ... unless they can get MacIntel Mobos to support firewire.
