Vringo VRNG issues a PR confirming a ruling that (citing the doctrine of laches) prevents it from collecting damages from Google for activity prior to Sep. 15, 2011, the date of its lawsuit filing. Vringo adds Google's motions to dismiss Vringo's infringement claims were denied, and that closing arguments for the trial are expected to begin tomorrow. Shares were halted around 3:10PM ET today after a freefall.
