While I agree with you that with the 600 million + shares outstanding that the market cap could be slightly over-inflated right now, I must disagree with you on the derangement issue. People, traders and investors, can and frequently do chase a stock up to levels that it shouldn't necessarily be trading at because of exciting news, hype, etc. I don't think that it will be consistently trading at $1 next year, but by no means is it out of the realm of possibility that the stock price could hit $1.00 within the next year. I could name many, many tickers that hit over $1 and then retraced back to where they should be trading at (and I'm not talking about an APS or SMA promo either, lol). Heck, APDN went from .04 all the way to .29ish within a few weeks, a gain of over 700%! What's so deranged to think that another 500% gain from current levels is impossible, even if it is just a short-term spike? I think that it is highly possible, and I don't consider myself to be deranged. This is the OTC market, after all!
This is a good story happening with APDN. Not too many penny stock companies exist with even half as much going on as APDN does, imho. With the current state of promotions being dubious, at best, traders are turning to pennies with real revenues and good stories. APDN fits that bill. I think if APDN does hit $1.00, it won't be until their 10-K come out next year though. Then we will have a better idea of how much some of these contracts are actually worth. Until then, speculation will continue to drive the price.
I want to also say that this is one of the most well-behaved board on iHub, as far as pumping goes. Sure, you have some longs that post positive information about APDN here, and every once in a while when the price spikes like it did last week, you'll have a few new posters on here pumping it up so they can sell their shares at a higher price. I'd say that the overall IQ level on this board is much higher than most of the boards on iHub, LOL. I don't see many "To da MOON!" posts over here. Lots of good facts and intelligent discussions. Glad to be a part of it and contribute where I can! I started off just trading APDN, and I still do, but it is the only penny stock that I own right now that I'm not planning on selling this week, LOL.
