Maybe this is why it was so important to get the oral version working!
In addition to being easier and cheaper to make, it also opens the door to non-dilutive financing to pay for the trials... through the funel of HHS's BARDA - with which we were already in discussions 5/6 years ago, but which mandated oral delivery as a conditions to being considered for bio defense stockpiling. Their involvement, which can definitely be in the tens of millions within twelve to eighteen months, would definitely help pay for phase 2a and beyond...
