Suspect Detection Systems Completes Second Phase of Certification Process of Cogito Technology in Large Nation

NEW YORK, October 25, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Suspect Detection Systems Inc., /quotes/zigman/9440155/quotes/nls/sdss SDSS -3.77% , a developer of counter terror and crime prevention technology, announced today that a large, nationally recognized defense contractor has completed the second phase of a requisite certification process in one of the world's largest nations.

Certification must be completed prior to the commercial implementation of Cogito Technology by federal or local law enforcement agencies.

The second stage of certification includes the physical installation of Cogito Technology, as per the specific requirements of the federal law enforcement agencies. The defense contractor is fully financing all elements of the certification process.

Entering into the certification process is the result of a successful pilot of Cogito technology at the largest railway terminal in the nation's capital. Following the pilot, Suspect Detection Systems entered into a marketing and distribution agreement with one of the nation's most highly recognized defense contractors.

"Suspect Detection Systems has completed another important stage in a bureaucratic process that is leading toward the full commercialization of Cogito technology in one of the world's largest nations, and a world superpower," said Gil Boosidan, CEO of Suspect Detection Systems Inc. "We are working together with our partner, a major national defense contractor to implement the system, following the successful demonstration of Cogito's abilities to federal law enforcement agencies at a major terminal in one of the capital's largest railway stations."
