I opened up a Scottrade account on Sunday at 11am. I electronically transferred funds from my bank. This whole process took one hour at most. I called Scottrade the next morning at 8am and over the phone they took my order. On line no, but on the phone you can do it. It will cost you more so do your research but for me there was no decision to make whatever I paid was worth it to get in at that price.........

E-traders I hear you can do this there too? If so sounds like E-tradde is an even better route?

........and whatever I lost from Thursday and Friday last week was TD Ameritrade's fault for putting a block on trading and lying about why.
