Well, the CEO rose to the challenge of the 'poll' and IMO (and others) did it in a very commendable and professional manner. Maybe you missed an earlier post of mine in this regard and, as it stands now, turned out to be somewhat prophetic on my part.
I would suggest that the responses from the CEO to the 'poll' should be stickied, then put to rest.
