This will only serve to make things worse for them in the future. It will become a PR nightmare if they are convicted of stealing these patents by a jury.They will have little hope of winning any appeal which will also be costly in terms of dollars. Shareholders will be furious and heads will roll. The CEO and other officers will be shown the door. Their only hope to avoid a complete meltdown is to settle this soon without a jury verdict. A couple billion dollars now could save them huge amounts of money in the coming years. A month ago everyone said that Vringo was gambling by pursuing this matte.
I am saying now that the shoe is on the other's foot and Google is gambling if they let this go on for much longer. But the stakes are much higher for Google as they have so much more at stake and so much more to lose.
Vringo is going to win this by verdict or by default. One way or the other Vringo shareholders will be coming out on top!!!!
