squ thanks for you input and we can argue forever regarding this issue. You have made some valid points however there are problems with almost all of them. For uranium its terrorism threat and no one wants another Chernobyl due to some maniac flying a plane into one of those plants. The area would be unlivable for 200 years.

OMG. You now are talking about nuclear powered airplanes. Do I need to remind you what would happen if one of those nuclear planes hit nuclear plant. Dude...10x Chernobyl. You know how atoms work write ? Please no one wants to hear that more then build it.

As far as solar energy you still are missing the point. Solar power can only generate very little fraction of energy (BTU)so it's not good source of energy. Again please please read Beyond Oil book. It talks about alternative energies beyond oil.

We can't get enough energy to power stratallite in the stratosphere from moon and you want to power homes and etc.
