TRCPA - I came across an article this weekend that made me understand yet another benefit of the KDS. Fires and explosions are apparently a very big problem within the pellet manufacturing process. This is almost entirely a result of the drying process itself. Considering that excess wood is burned and used to dry the biomass, unexpected fires and explosions would seem to be an inherent risk.

Just this one operational difference, no additional external heat, the KDS would seem to be a far superior choice. I would also think the reduction in insurance costs as well safety to be additional benefits. Hopefully the St-Malo project will prove the overall efficacy of the machine and pave the way for many profitable projects.
