Very helpful. Thank you. Million $ question: Do you believe the following would be patentable?
""A pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective dose of an isolated form of anatabine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof can be administered to an individual to reduce a symptom of a disorder comprising an NF-kB mediated inflammatory component or to reduce the risk of developing such a disorder." (A Google search of NF-kB brought up 3,350,000 results."
You have answered this before I believe:
"The company apparently has filed a patent application on the S(-) isomer which will be the prescription version of Anatabine citrate. As I understand it, because the S(-) isomer is not found by itself in nature, it can be patented and it will only be available via prescription. That patemnt will eventually be granted by the USPTO. Of course, the S(i) Anatabine isomer will still have to go through FDA drug approval process (but that can be expedited)."
If the prescription version is patentable then Star really has something. This is the key to the treasure chest IMHO.
Prescription means coverage by users which is huge.
Where is the patent application talked about regarding S (-) isomer ????
Question: At what point will Star be in the position to offer presecription version? Additional trials necessary?? The answer
is critical to substantial progress by Star.
