Simple-

They either take out the part of the code that is infringing $Vrng's patent, or they develop an new source code that is unique thus doing the same thing.

Google as a company is very shrewed and devious. I wouldn't be surprised if they are already working on this as a contingency plan.

Either way one or the other could save them millions in royalty payments.
