Len, the same can be said for capitulation.

The guy at the top has to get in before it's too late. The opposite is true at the bottom, the guy that road his mutual fund to the bottom has got to get out before he loses everything!

I think the next few weeks will be telling. My scan of the papers and the internet was full of reasons for selling:
