Yes, of course Milo3...Maloney does make a good case for value appreciation of precious metals...and his past videos have been just the wake up call that we all needed. Fact is, that gold and silver have appreciated a great deal over the past few years and I believe that they are still undervalued when compared to other real goods you try to buy in the marketplace. Most mining stock equities, ETFs, IPOs etc. have not done as well, are more volitile and a higher risk IMO. This leads me to believe that physical precious metals are a safer, more conservative long term investment than their paper/electronic cousins. My recommendation is to stack the phyz, maintaining enough liquidity so that you don't have to tap your stack for a few years, or until you reach retirement age. That's what I'm doing.
The symbolism in the Wizard of Oz is well known. Tin man=industry, scarecrow=agri-business, cowardly lion=William Jennings Bryan or IMO commerce/financial sector, Dorothy=american people, Emerald City=Washington DC, and finally the wizard=the president. My drift was that we (the public) tend to demonize politicians. Both Romney and Obama are good men..."just bad wizards." It should also be noted that right after this scene, the wizard takes care of the group...though maybe not as they expected (Dorothy excluded).
