And another thing, since when do people invest just to recoup their original investment.

Per your example @.30 the creditors hit a home run with a 100% ROI while poor regular shareholder Lisa is still down more than 50% after averaging down with an additional investment of $2K. She has to average down AGAIN just to give herself a chance to break ever after 13 years. But thats ok right, just as long as the creditors hit a home run.
