The dual-phase IR3548 PowIRstage device supports up to 30A per phase and delivers up to 95 percent efficiency at 7.2V nominal to 1.8V nominal in a 6mm x 8mm PQFN package. The single-phase IR3552 supports up to 40A and offers 94 percent efficiency at 12V nominal to 1.8V nominal in a 4mm x 6mm PQFN package.

Well, it kind of depends on whether they are talking VR12.5 or VR12.6. In VR12.5, which is for traditional notebooks, yes, the power system relating to Vcore is much simpler. But when you look at our solution for VR12.6, which are basically Ultrabooks, what we are doing there instead of just supplying the Vcore, which is what we’ve traditionally supplied to notebook computers. We’ve got an entire power solution including the system power and the battery charger

So Haswell will have single VCore at max 1.8V and on-die voltage regulators for cores, LLC and graphics.
