I believe you are correct in your thinking, and perhaps for some legal reason, he cannot advise of intention or connection prior to completetion of....? However, thats going way into giving him the benefit of the doubt. It does not aleviate my suspecions. Most of the time, name change is done regarding change of ownership, restructure, or some financial need to start over, etc.
