I will say if a company tries to jack up prices to complete shallow wells at extraordinary prices, there must be a reason(s) location, vandalism, etc are probably factors.
I agree that it is usually wiser for smaller companies to use contractors at set prices. Employees tend to be more costly and less efficient in my view. I would be surprised to hear they are not using Tucker and schlumberger
