For twenty years I have battled Fungal Toenail infection in one toe. I have tried everything. Nothing worked and there were many side effects. See below. Some of the common side effects caused by Oral antifungal medications include: 1) Stomach upset 2) Headache 3) Skin rashes 4) Visual disturbances 5) Photosensitivity (mostly caused by Griseofulvin) 6) Change of taste 7) Nausea 8) Fatigue 9) Belly pain 10) Vomiting 11) Change in skin color 12) Dark urine

These oral medications do not work well in elderly as the blood circulation and growth of nail tends to slow down with age. Oral antifungal medications are not prescribed if you are suffering from liver problem. Damage to liver is increased if these medications are taken along with alcohol.

I have had a simular experience with one of my toenails, I thought I had toenail fungus in my toenail because it had got thick. After taking Antabloc for about 6-7 weeks I noticed my toenail was growing out normal. It had a defined step where the normal transition to thick. It has grown out completely now.
