Not sure you understand covering correctly. If you are short shares and want to cover by the weekend, you can either buy them off the ask (raising the price even more) or bid sit and and become support. Neither of which would hurt the PPS. You can not short on the Greys, so the only answer left is that someone unloaded shares for whatever price they could get. Hope this helps.
