Taint, do you own some of these preferred shares prior to conservatorship? That is the "hit" event.

i bought the meredith whitney sinaro, so decided to put my and my wife's retirements in a safe place. so in 07-08, i put 1.5 mil into the pfd. i paid pretty much full boat for them. when the last issues came out, i actually paid a premium to buy hundreds of thousands dollars of the s&P AAA rated pfds at slightly over face. i have since then bought more at dirt cheap price. i bought another mil+ of face value at $0.25-0.30 per 25 of face. i hold almost 4 mil face of this stuff.
