Pete may be scum, but Doug conned him too. Did you forget that Doug promised a magic motor for the auto show but never delivered? Peter signed a contract ( and gave money to Doug) for the rights to market something Doug never delivered. And how long did he have his "green manufacturing" factory in place without actually doing any manufacturing? Or his 21 patents that turned out to be only 1? I seem to recall he was trying to con the council into taking his worthless patent as guarantee that he might eventually pay the $50k he got from them, but they were smart enough to require it have value before they would commit.
