One would like to think so but 'we' don't know that.

It's possible, I hope not, but possible that they looked under the hood and said 'no thanks'.

We know that companies were in discussion as of Aug/Early Sept. But the world changed on Sept 24th and everyone is trying to adjust & get their bearings. If Ayers (who was invested) would walk away, there's no reason to think a potential partner (who is not invested) might not walk away as well.

The truth is we don't know, yet.
