A very well considered analysis of the modern populist "environmental movement".

Sadly it is true. I was a strong supporter of Greenpeace in the '60s and '70s but became increasingly disillusioned with their developing antagonism to virtually anything scientific. It seems to me that in the UK at least such organisations are now the refuge of members of that section of society who prefer to have all the benefits of "The Welfare State" without contributing anything in return. Tales of protestors taking the morning off their protesting so as to collect and cash their welfare cheque are legion in the tabloid press.

A very sad descent into illogical bigotry for what was initially a high-minded and intelligent organisation.
