This company was in the NIR/AJW fund liquidation being handled by PwC. There must be a resolution of the debt owed to NIR from a past convertible PIPE deal. This is your "financial difficulties" as stated in your post.
I'm in another company that was involved in the liquidation, got restructured, merged with another, did a 10/1 RS and now I'm currently up 332% on paper.
I'm not in this yet, but if I was, I'd be asking the company to give an update on the subject above.
