You will never see this happen -- any big short squeeze, nor ANYONE not covered already. Why ? Because the whole market system is not near as devious as a lot of people think. The deviousness comes from within the Companies themselves. The S E C DOES try to protect the public from con men and slimey scammers like the Stead brothers and the M M s are a part of the protection package -- that is ,, allied with the S E C. There is NO WAY the S E C is going to let the M M s get crucified in a big short squeeze. This is why you will not be seeing that back-dated Record Day. And besides that there weren't any non-covered shorts on that day either. When any stock has tanked, all the shorts have been covered anyhow. You have to remember that M M s are professionals and extremely rarely do they get caught in a short squeeze.
