There's been a huge blitz to stretch the truth and provoke selling, that's the first sign of why to hold and in fact buy more. 300K short means 300,000 shares needs to be purchased. If they are available cheap, they'll be bought cheap. However if they are not available or not available cheap, the result is they'll be bought at whatever price possible. I'm doing my part my offering only a small block at $2 PPS. If the only sell orders are $2 or more, we'll see a quick gap up. Once the 300K is covered then the PPS can continue just going on the DD, news, and other positive developments. It's rather elementary...
