Bebida Beverage inks distribution deal

Bebida Beverage Co., a Statesville-based developer, manufacturer and marketer of liquid relaxation products, has landed another distribution deal that will extend the footprint of its flagship product, Koma Unwind.

Mcleod Inc.-Fun Drinks Distributing, a Philadelphia-based start up distributor, will bring Koma Unwind to consumers in Pennsylvania's Philadelphia, Delaware and Bucks counties, as a result of the latest agreement. Terms were not disclosed.

BeBevCo (OTC:BBDA) is in the midst of a rapid expansion that includes a deal to bring its products to Wal-Mart stores in South Carolina and a partnership to distribute the drinks in northern California.

Brian Weber, chief executive, told the Charlotte Business Journal last week that the company is teaming with different distributors on a weekly basis (http://www.bizjournals.com/charlotte/news/2012/08/10/statesvilles-bebida-beverage-headed.html)
"It is obviously a good situation to be in," Weber says of the expansion. "There is no slowdown in sight."

BeBevCo's Koma Unwind is a carbonated berry-flavored drink that contains herbal supplements such as melatonin, rose hips and milk thistle. The drink also is available in sugar-free and shot-sized varieties.
