The short answer is NanoMet. They are the ONLY other manufacturer that can possibly make the metal. They supplied the metal early on, in the vids on MSI's site where you see the senator dangling from a piece doing a pull up.
They get the early manufacturing volume in return for letting Basic get the rights to Russian market for distribution of dental implants.
This gives Carpenter time to get tooled up, yet the russians keep supply to the market and the metal for prototypes (ear implants,knees,stents,ect) and dental implants.
This answers why no royalty revenue yet. Till Carpenter produces the metal there will be NO royalty rev.
