The clues were relevant to the present and consistent. The facts were tangential to the past and not relevant to the future.

At worst, LPH sent Crane off because of his other pasts.

Missed deadlines, you win. They have over promised and under delivered. Changing business landscape explains that. Maybe doesn't excuse it, that is a personal decision.
