Chloe you are correct. Even with gov't. subsidies to systems that try to make cable available to everyone, some just can't do it. The beauty of cable was that stations could package together to maximize advertising dollars and reach large numbers of people. Virtually every home in America is accessable by cable TV. We have established here that even though cable is available, some won't pay the tarrif. How can Punch TV go into New York and tell the advertiser that they can reach 9 million homes, when that advertiser is already reaching 9 million homes of people who can afford cable. Where would you spend your advertising dollars? If you get Samblis talking about ad revenues he will talk to you about the massive number of people that he can reach for the least amount of money with the airport program.
Does the advertiser want to spend money on viewers who can't afford $50 for cable TV? Punch TV is a dinasoar that will probably soon be in a museum, where it should be.
