NaturalNano Receives Grant From Cornell University's Cornell Center for Materials Research Jumpstart Program
10/4/2005 8:00:48 AM

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Oct 04, 2005 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- NaturalNano Inc., a company whose primary business is discovering, refining, and marketing naturally occurring nanomaterials, announced today that it has received a grant from The Cornell Center for Materials Research (CCMR) Jumpstart program at Cornell University. The CCMR Jumpstart program is a NYSTAR-funded program targeted at small New York businesses.

The grant provides matching support for research and development projects during the remainder of 2005. Importantly, it also involves collaboration with CCMR faculty.

Michael Riedlinger, President of NaturalNano, said, "This grant to assist in R&D at Cornell University is indicative of the priority being given to new materials such as naturally produced nanotubes for use in a variety of industrial applications. We are thrilled to be one of just four companies to receive a grant from CCMR for the current semester. And we look forward to working with the staff and scientists at CCMR to evaluate halloysite nanotubes for a variety of novel applications that leverage the unique chemical and physical properties of aluminosilicate nanotubes."
