To be business compliant, a company only needs to register a physical mailing address on their paperwork, this can be residential. This address also does not have to be the place where the business of the company occurs.

There are also alternatives in several states such as registering with an agent. The only restriction as far as I'm concerned is that you can't register a business with a PO box.
