The reason the have tanked is that they are basically obsolete. I have a kid with autism and when we got Dynavox AAC communication device several years ago, the device was $8000. Now days an iPad (or iPhone) + 3rd party software does the same thing for $500 - $600, but BETTER and you don't have to tote big proprietary anchor of a device around. They have been paranoid about their software running on other hardware for years and as a customer I would not expect much unless they have a major shift in thinking over there. The iPad pretty much made them obsolete. I would expect to see them closer to $0 than $4 any time soon.
