Following the announcement by Great Basin Gold (GBG) that that it has suspended operations at the it's Burnstone mine located in the Witwatersrand Basin of South Africa as at September 11, 2012 and that is seeking financing for the immediate costs associated with the shut-down which it has NOT secured yet, Sierra believes that this coming week will bring news of a buyout or merger for GBG shareholders.
