A notorious stock trader died and came to the pearly gates in heaven. Saint Peter looks at him and says: "You may not enter here. Take that elevator over there that does down to the hot place."

The stock trader says, "Why am I going to hell, I used to pray all the time."

Peter responds: "Yes, but you were supposed to pray for people, not on them."
