Latino Celebs And The Democratic National Convention

Eva Longoria - Actress Eva Longoria, who is one of the 35 national co-chairs appointed by the Obama re-election campaign, has been an avid supporter of President Obama. In a video released back in April by the Obama campaign the Mexican-American actress explained why the President's record on healthcare, education and immigration should earn him the Latino vote in the next election. Despite the fact the president's administration set the record in 2011 for most deportations in one year, Longoria still highlighted the President's record on immigration.

In her speech at the Democratic National Convention, the actress told of her past as a struggling young student and how the President understood the financial struggles of the nation.

"The Eva Longoria who worked at Wendy's flipping burgers -- she needed a tax break," Longoria told the crowd at the Democratic National Convention. "But the Eva Longoria who works on movie sets does not."
