I agree totally with you about doing "dd" and trust me i pay no attention to anyones's comments, i look for legit links and the dd that some investors post because it can be very helpful. I don't trust the market by no means, nor anyone else's advice or opinion, and since i started doing that my account has been green for some time and let's just say that its a better feeling doing it your own way and trusting your trading skills but at the same time no trader has the perfect method or all the answers.
