One thing that a vaccine has over a cide is that it prevents infection/symptoms whereas a cide removes the infection when it has arrived, with symptoms prompting the person to cide themselves. Perhaps that is a simplistic explanation but you get my point - you don't do anything if you are vaccinated and become infected - the infection may enter but the vaccine works with the immune system to stymie any trouble!

NOW - if a cide can, in and of itself or with some tweaking, do what a vaccine does then we truly are off to the races with uncle Bob!! And as I understand it - that is not completely out of the question.
