It takes 3 working days from the date you buy a stock until you are oficially recognized as the "owner of record".

Therefore, if you bought on Aug. 14 or earlier, you will get to vote.

If you bought on Aug. 15 or later you do not get to vote.

If you sold your stock on Aug. 15, Aug. 16, Aug. 17, or later you still get to vote.
