This is one of the Dumbest ideas any retail business selling food products could venture into.

1) These In store clinic's are very limited in there ability to treat a patient, but incur the expenses of running a medical office.

2) Those little germs and virus's will be spread every-where, from the bathrooms to the checkout counters in a public setting, with disinfection procedures by Retail employee's?? !!!! right.

3) As for a On-call ambulance service, Walgreens may buy that to, When Humpty Dumpty has a heart attack chewing on a box of Ore-o's waiting to see Nurse Ratchet, there is another revenue driver.
And what better place for a home delivery pharmacist to provide MTM.

But what the H&ll, these are the masters of disaster, Rectal exam's on Monday in the Brittany room, and Breast Exams on Fridays with a 1/2 off coupon available in the store flyer..
And to offer you the Optimal in convenient Healthcare services a DNA test..

And don't forget the take-out Sushi or Frozen pizza for dinner,
nurse ratchet squeaks out in her good buy..

I like your cost optimized pharmacy direction much better
for a Investment.

As for CVS's clinics, I believe this business was included in the spin-off from the dialysis business that Caremark/Baxter had developed, in its IV centers.
