That’s right; Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is the only existing treatment for hot flashes. Recently, the Journal of American Medical Association published a study which conclusively showed that HRT greatly increases the risk of breast cancer.
Dr. Erika Schwartz, an expert in the field says she believes the new study is a continuation of a Women's Health Initiative study of more than 16,000 women. That study was halted prematurely last year when it was seen HRT increased the risk of breast cancer while providing no benefit against heart disease and stroke.
So think about it, hot flashes are one of the top complaints of women today.
