G'day J!

Here is an older article about the roads that I thought I would toss in for a bit of friendly reading:

Disposal Wells May Mean Better Roads

PAULS VALLEY, OK -- Oklahoma roads could be getting a financial boost from the oil and gas industry.

Robert Duncan supervises a disposal well for Cavu energy in Pauls Valley. Disposal, or injection wells serve a much needed purpose in oil and gas production.

"Everybody will pump their water into the tanks and then they'll load it up in the trucks because they don't have a disposal and they'll bring it in to us. We'll pump in into our tanks, we've got this big pump over here and we'll pump it back into the ground."

House Bill 2496 was authored by Madill area Representative Tommy Hardin and Ardmore area State Senator Frank Simpson. It would allow disposal well owners to collect an additional ten percent fee for storing out of state waste water. Local county commissioners and ODoT would collect the money, funneling it back into road repair and construction. Texoma is considered an ideal area for injection wells, so the money could add up.

Cavu is expanding its Pauls Valley lease, giving it even more ability to filter, treat and store once toxic water.

The hope is to eventually see even more water coming in from other states, giving Oklahomans a tax free way to improve infrastructure.
